Medical is the LEGO City line for doctors, paramedics and hospitals. It was part of City from the first years, with 7890 Ambulance and 7892 Hospital in 2006, and it returns every few years with new ambulances, rescue helicopters and air ambulance planes. Full hospitals are rarer, and 60204 City Hospital from 2018 is the largest, with a lift, a patient room, a helicopter pad and 12 minifigures. More recent sets put medical rescue together with the other services, as in 60371 Emergency Vehicles HQ, where ambulances share a station with other emergency vehicles.
2005 LEGO Sets
2005 marked the formal introduction of LEGO City, succeeding Town as LEGO’s modern urban theme. Star Wars minifigures transitioned from classic yellow to light nougat skin tones, aligning with other licensed lines. New themes included Dino Attack (Dino 2010 in Europe) and Vikings, while LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game debuted, establishing the long-running TT Games franchise. The year also celebrated 50 years of the LEGO System and growing digital expansion.
