Tiny Turbos was a Racers subtheme of small cars, four studs wide, sold from 2005 to 2011. Most came in a plastic case with a lid shaped like half a wheel, and the case could be kept as storage. Larger sets put two or more cars in one box, some with a garage or a stretch of road. The range covered rally cars, monster trucks, police cars, tow trucks and hot rods, and from 2008 it had the Ferrari licence, with Formula 1 cars, a pit stop and the team truck. Tiny Turbos was ended in 2011 along with the rest of Racers, and LEGO's licensed race cars carried on later in Speed Champions.
2005 LEGO Sets
2005 marked the formal introduction of LEGO City, succeeding Town as LEGO’s modern urban theme. Star Wars minifigures transitioned from classic yellow to light nougat skin tones, aligning with other licensed lines. New themes included Dino Attack (Dino 2010 in Europe) and Vikings, while LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game debuted, establishing the long-running TT Games franchise. The year also celebrated 50 years of the LEGO System and growing digital expansion.
