2007 / Creator

In 2007 LEGO released 21 Creator sets across 2 subthemes. The largest Creator set from 2007 was 4954 Model Town House with a piece count of 1174 and a retail price of $69.99. The current estimated value of all these Creator sets from this year is about $1,897.81 which represents a 415.4% growth.

The LEGO Creator theme consists of a variety of subthemes that revolve around sets that focus on buildings, creatures, vehicles, robots and recently more specialized sets such as botanical and even the Chinese New Year. Many of these sets have fallen under the 3-in-1 label which include instructions in a single set to provide multiple alternative models. Originally created in 2001 with a focus on larger bucket sets, the LEGO Creator theme has expanded outside just bricks to later include minifigures.

2007 LEGO Sets

For collectors, 2007 proved to be an important milestone for with the release of the Modular Buildings theme which initially included Café Corner (10182-1) and Market Street (10190-1). Also, the Star Wars license with LucasFilms was originally planned to end that year, but is renewed. To celebrate Star Wars' 30th anniversary, LEGO released a free, 14-carat gold C-3PO minifigure. 2007 also saw the discontinuation of a number of themes including Aqua Raiders and Knights' Kingdom II but also so the introduction of the Thomas and Friends theme.
