LEGO 1224-2 8 Named Beams was a 8 piece System i Leg set released in 1955. It was only released in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. It had different part counts in various regions. The Danish version had 8 parts, Norwegian and Swedish version had 10 parts. depending on the region, the signs were on printed 1x6 white bricks that included; TAXA, Teater, TOBAK, AUTO, HOTEL, KIOSK and many others.

About System i Leg Supplemental

Starting in the 1950s LEGO began individual parts sales, a practice that began with the Ferguson Tracktor in 1951. LEGO would supply dealers with wooden parts boxes and refill packs. These individual part sales would continue, at least in some markets, into the late 1950’s.

Supplemental consists of 68 sets that ran from 1955 to 1959. As of today, 214-4 Windows and Doors Retailer Pack is the most valuable Supplemental set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $915.
