LEGO 1x6 and 1x8 Bricks is a System i Leg Supplemental set released in 1955, containing 9 pieces. The set consists of basic 1x6 and 1x8 bricks and was issued in four colors: blue, red, white, and yellow. It was released only in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. During production, the brick type changed from slotted hollow bricks used from 1955 to 1956 to hollow bricks without slots used from 1956 to 1958, and the set was later reissued in 1958 as set 225 1 x 6 and 1 x 8 Bricks. Based on current trends, this set could be valued near $31 within the next year.
1x6 and 1x8 Bricks (1224A-1) is an exceptionally old and rare LEGO set. It has not been available online or in retail stores in good/new condition for over 2 years. About System i Leg Supplemental

Starting in the 1950s LEGO began individual parts sales, a practice that began with the Ferguson Tracktor in 1951. LEGO would supply dealers with wooden parts boxes and refill packs. These individual part sales would continue, at least in some markets, into the late 1950’s.

Supplemental consists of 68 sets that ran from 1955 to 1959. As of today, 214-4 Windows and Doors Retailer Pack is the most valuable Supplemental set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $804.
