1257-2 1:87 Bedford Delivery Truck was a HO 1:87 scale set released in 1955 in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. It was packaged in a closed card box. There were a couple of versions of the truck that consisted of a the Bedford Moving Van with indicators on side/transport in white, indicators on front/LEGO Transport in gold and Indicators on side/LEGO Transport in gold. The truck was based on the Bedford A3LC. Production ran until 1963.

These Bedford trucks sometimes came with promotional ads on the sides such as LIBBY'S MILCH, a rare and highly collectible subcategory. These can command hundreds and thousands of dollars. These special additions used water decals not stickers.

About System i Leg HO 1:87 Vehicles

The LEGO HO 1:87 Vehicles subtheme, also referred to as LEGO small vehicles where plastic sets released in the 1950's and 1960's to compliment LEGO sets which could be used to build houses, gas stations, garages, shops and more. These vehicles sets remailed in production for almost ten years until they were replaced by LEGOLAND vehicles in the early 1970s. LEGO made the these small 1:87 scale vehicles until around 1969.

HO 1:87 Vehicles consists of 25 sets that ran from 1955 to 1958. As of today, 1261-2 1:87 VW Beetle is the most valuable HO 1:87 Vehicles set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $1,380.
