LEGO 250 1:87 Esso Bedford Tanker is a vintage System i Leg set from 1956 valued at $284 for new and sealed sets, up 24592% from an original retail price of $1.15. Annual appreciation has averaged 8.19% since release. Used copies are valued between $40 and $49 depending on condition.

Set Value (New/Sealed)

This represents the current new/sealed value of the set 1:87 Esso Bedford Tanker since January 1956. Medium accuracy

250-2 1:87 Esso Bedford Tanker was a Classic HO 1:87 scale vehicle set released in 1956. The first version of the Bedford LEGO Truck had a scale of 1:80. It was a red Bedford Esso Tank truck and sold only in Denmark in a carton box. The international version of this Esso Bedford Tanke came in two different models: model 1 with flashing light at the front, and model 2 with the flashing light at the side. Based on current trends, this set could be valued near $305 within the next year.

1:87 Esso Bedford Tanker (250-2) is an exceptionally old and rare LEGO set. It has not been available online or in retail stores in good/new condition for over 2 years. Due to its rarity, the estimated value in sealed condition of $283.96 may understate its true worth, assuming one can even be found for sale. Since this set was released in 1956, finding it sealed and well-preserved is exceptionally difficult—making complete sets with intact boxes museum-grade collectibles.

For Sale (New/Sealed)

There are currently no new/sealed listings available for 250-2 1:87 Esso Bedford Tanker at this time.

Insights

Released in the mid-1950s and retired after a short run, 1:87 Esso Bedford Tanker, a System i Leg HO 187 Vehicles piece with Denmark-specific packaging and fragile acetate parts, shows strong interest from vintage LEGO and petroliana collectors, and rarity of intact boxed variants supports long-term demand while trading remains thin and condition-sensitive.
