Set Value (New/Sealed)

This represents the current new/sealed value of the set 5 Cyclists / Motorcyclists since January 1956. Medium accuracy

Set 1270 5 Cyclists / Motorcyclists was a HO scaled set released in 1956. It was only released in Denmark, Norway and Sweden from 1956 to 1962. It was packaged in a closed card box. They were a person riding a motorcycle, a motor scooter, a motorcycle with side car, and a bicycle. The spare parts packs with these cyclists were 1270 in Denmark and Sweden. Based on current trends, this set could be valued near $352 within the next year.

5 Cyclists / Motorcyclists (1270-1) is an exceptionally old and rare LEGO set. It has not been available online or in retail stores in good/new condition for over 2 years. Due to its rarity, the estimated value in sealed condition of $329.35 may understate its true worth, assuming one can even be found for sale. Since this set was released in 1956, finding it sealed and well-preserved is exceptionally difficult—making complete sets with intact boxes museum-grade collectibles.

There are currently no new/sealed listings available for 5 Cyclists / Motorcyclists at this time.

Insights

Released as a region-limited System i Leg HO 1:87 pack, 5 Cyclists / Motorcyclists (1270) drew interest from both LEGO historians and HO model collectors after its Scandinavian release, and its short availability plus fragile closed card-box packaging has left sealed examples scarce and condition-sensitive.

Brickset

“There were 5 items, although only 4 different models (1 duplicate) to this set. These were hand painted, and then with a dab of glue, glued to a card and inserted into the box so that they don't bang into each other. So when people who find these in an old LEGO lot, they... More are always puzzled why there is glue or paper stuck to the bottom... and more often than not, even new examples get sold as used because they think they've been used or damaged.”
