LEGO 1261 1:87 VW Beetle is a vintage System i Leg set from 1958 valued at $1 for new and sealed sets, up 0% from an original retail price of $0.85. On the used market, values range from $1 to $1,373 based on condition.

1261-2 1:87 VW Beetle was a HO 1:87 scale vehicle set released in 1958. It was only released in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. It came with the plastic showroom/garage and the shorter version of the VW Beetle. Included in the showroom was a 1x6 white brick that had "VW SALG VW" printed on it. Based on current trends, this set could be valued near $1 within the next year.
1:87 VW Beetle (1261-2) is an exceptionally old and rare LEGO set. It has not been available online or in retail stores in good/new condition for over 2 years. Due to its rarity, the estimated value in sealed condition of $0.85 may understate its true worth, assuming one can even be found for sale. Since this set was released in 1958, finding it sealed and well-preserved is exceptionally difficult—making complete sets with intact boxes museum-grade collectibles.
There are currently no new/sealed listings available for 1:87 VW Beetle at this time.
