“I think it is a good small pirate set, if you are looking to build a more varied pirate crew for your ship, also it seems to go very cheaply on Ebay, I got mine for only 1 pence.”

Brickset
Small set, good pieces and building — “This set is one of the small sets of the pirates theme and is like some other small sets of this theme, have few pieces, but all have a great value to increase bigger sets. This includes a pirate minifigure, different of some released early, but stay in the Lego classic... More style, in a simple design like other minifigures of the pirates theme.”

“This Impulse set came with a brand new minifig, now this fella might look very similar to his old predecessor but he is actually different, just look below. The nice thing about the similarities is the fact that the new pirate blends in perfectly well with the older pirates... More making all of them look alike. As for the set itself we see some interesting innovation with a hollowed out rock for hiding treasure. A nice little set.”

About Pirates

Pirates was a LEGO theme introduced in 1989, running until 1997 and focused on the classic idea of Caribbean pirates that were pitted against soldiers of colonial empires. As the series progressed through the years, more factions were introduced and the older ones were phased out of production. The Pirates were one of the first two original factions in the theme to be introduced.
