LEGO 1859 Aeroplane is a Basic FreeStyle set released in 1996, containing 9 pieces. It builds a small airplane from simple plates and slopes, using a trans-clear 2x2 slope as the cockpit and a wheeled trolley element for landing gear. The set was distributed as a free promotional item with the Sabah newspaper in Turkey and with Danone in Belgium. It is identical in design to set 1777 Airplane, differing only in color scheme.

A new and sealed Aeroplane is currently valued at around $2, with annual growth of 4.9% that is expected to level off to around 2.0% in the coming year. The average used price is $2 for those in good overall condition. Based on current trends, this set could be valued near $2 within the next year.

The Basic FreeStyle sets were part of various promotional releases that used LEGO System bricks. All these promotional sets used the FreeStyle look and feel and most came in standard polybags although a few were boxed. These promotional sets were offered from various companies including Blockbuster, Kelloggs, Jack-In-The-Box and more throughout the US and the rest of the world.

FreeStyle consists of 34 sets that ran from 1996 to 1998.
