LEGO 2-11 Medium Basic Set is a Minitalia set released in 1977, containing 128 pieces. Part of the Italy-only Minitalia line, it was sold exclusively in Italy and manufactured locally. The elements differed from standard LEGO parts, using a non-ABS plastic that produced less vivid colors and certain variations in piece design. The set provided a selection of basic bricks for free building. The parts include Minitalia-style doors and windows, a 16×24 green rounded-corner baseplate, bricks and slopes in red, white, blue, and yellow, fence elements, plant pieces, and arches.

About Minitalia

LEGO Minitalia was a theme produced and available only in Italy and was available from 1970 to 1976. Minitalia was a licensee of LEGO similar to how Samsonite was here in the US and was created becuase the Italian Parliment restricted the import of LEGO so LEGO responded with their own Italian manufacturing subsidiary, LEGO Minitalia.. Minitalia consited of 21 sets in all.
