LEGO 20001 LEGO Batbot is a Creator BrickMaster exclusive set released in 2008, containing 103 pieces. Distributed to LEGO BrickMaster magazine subscribers, it was the first in a series of subscriber-only BrickMaster sets. The build depicts a small bat-themed robot in a black and yellow color scheme. “I found the hand and leg designs of the 2008 set to be quite limiting. Utilizing minifigs for fingers was a creative workaround given the era's part limitations, though it compromised articulation and aesthetics. Similarly, the leg construction, reliant on click hinges due to the absence of smaller ball joints, restricted movement to basic splits.”

“The idea of using mini-fig legs as fingers is ingenious to me and the the wings though simple are the touch that made the figure. The figure does have eleven points of articulation not counting the three on each had for a total of seventeen. The six metallic "claw" pieces are awesome.”

The LEGO Creator theme consists of a variety of subthemes that revolve around sets that focus on buildings, creatures, vehicles, robots and recently more specialized sets such as botanical and even the Chinese New Year.
