Like most architecture sets in the series, the LEGO Buckingham Palace instruction booklet is beautiful, 124 pages of high-quality card-stock printing. The first few pages contain information and pictures regarding the history and design of the Palace itself. Features the neoclassical facade of the palace's east wing and includes the Royal Standard flag, forecourt and palace gates, plus a section of the Mall with Victoria Memorial, red double-decker bus and a black taxicab. While these vehicle models are quite small and may seem insignificant, they add a lot to the entire model by adding a sense of scale to Buckingham Palace in the background.

The complete model occupies an almost square base, the footprint of the set is 24 x 26 studs. The elaborate gate to Buckingham palace is represented quite well with these LEGO lattice windows. The sideways plates are pretty ingenious and make for a great visual effect when it’s all completed. The sense of scale thanks to the Memorial and vehicles outside are also very clever, which makes for a very sophisticated and well thought out design.

A new and sealed Buckingham Palace is currently valued at around $153, with annual growth of approximately 11%, which is higher than other Landmark Series sets. The average used price is $61 for those in good overall condition. Based on current trends, this set could be valued near $178 within the next year. New and sealed listings currently range from $135 to $179. The set was available for 26 months, from September 2016 to November 2018.

Although I was mildly irritated by the half-plate gaps in the frontage, they're barely visible in the final... More model. About Architecture Landmark Series

The LEGO Architecture Landmark Series started in 2008 and consists primarily of models that represent the world's most famous structures. Initially the sets were focused on major cities in the United States such as models of the Sears Tower, John Hancock Center, the Empire State Building, and the Seattle Space Needle followed by international landmarks including Burj Khalifa, Brandenburg Gate, the Sydney Opera House and dozens more. Within the subtheme the scale of the sets differ widely.

Landmark Series was introduced in 2008 and currently consists of 36 sets. As of today, 21021 Marina Bay Sands is the most valuable Landmark Series set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $981.
