The Village Reviews
Is this LEGO set a good investment?
“As a Minecraft set, 21128 LEGO The Village is a good investment and has been slightly outperforming a typical Minecraft set with an average annual growth hovering around 8%. While not the best year over year return for this theme, it still is not a bad investment for collectors.”

“In summary I would say this is a far better set than I ever anticipated. It doesn't have any challenging builds so don't expect to gain any expert knowledge into new building techniques, but for kids this makes it ideal. It clearly isn't specifically designed as a display... More set, but it does look really good when connected together of which you can arrange in any fashion you wish.”

“What's cool about this set is that each model is separate so you can easily play out a Minecraft story in a specific model, but all the models fit together to create a larger Minecraft village that looks really neat on display. This is going to be a lot of fun for Minecraft... More and LEGO fans who want to bring the world from the video game to life off-screen.”

About Minecraft Minifig-scale

The LEGO Minecraft theme is based on the video game Minecraft and a collaboration between Mojang and the LEGO Group. Sets in this theme were all based on the traditional LEGO minifigure scale. Minecraft is a sandbox indie game originally created by Notch (Markus Persson) and later developed and published by Mojang / Microsoft. The official release occurred in 2013 with the first set, Minecraft: Micro World: The Forest, released under LEGO Ideas and was created by Mojang through the LEGO CUUSOO program in 2012. At MineCon 2013, LEGO announced brand new minifigure-scale Minecraft sets.
Minifig-scale was introduced in 2014 and currently consists of 109 sets. As of today,
21137 The Mountain Cave is the most valuable Minifig-scale set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $1,940.
