Jays Brick Blog
“It’s next quarry is the world of Mineral collectors and geology, with 21362 Mineral Collection, a small but charming collection of fascinating minerals that you can build out of LEGO. I’m assured there is a massive underground movement of amateur geologists, rockhounds and... More even those drawn in by the metaphysical healing properties of crystals that LEGO are hoping to cater to.”

BrickEconomy Expert Review
“LEGO Ideas 21362 Mineral Collection offers six brick-built minerals with striking color layering, translucent parts, and clever construction techniques, all housed in modular display cases inspired by real museum exhibits. The set includes newly introduced elements, subtle designer easter eggs, and a versatile layout, making it an excellent value for display-focused builders and parts collectors alike.”
The Brothers Brick
“This is a lovely display set, and it’s extremely flexible. You can rearrange the bases, you can swap the minerals around into almost any position. There are pretty colors, interesting techniques to get even more colors, and ultimately a display worthy of a museum.”

About Ideas

The LEGO Ideas theme, which started in 2008 as an offshoot of the Japanese website Cuusoo, then formally known as LEGO Cuusoo, is based around a website which allows users to submit ideas for LEGO products to be turned into potential sets available commercially. If fellow users in the LEGO Ideas community up vote the project to 10000 then LEGO Group has a committee which votes on whether to build the set and release it. If the project is approved and cleared for production, it is developed and later released as an official set under the "LEGO Ideas" banner and the original designer receives 1% of the royalties and a number of free sets. Typically, a few projects are approved a year and most are rejected due to various restrictions.
