LEGO 221-2 1x2 Bricks was a 45 piece System i Leg set released in 1958. It is the European version of set 221-3 which was the Samsonite version available in the US. Variants included different color bricks such as red, yellow, blue, white, transparent and black.

The current value for a new and sealed 1x2 Bricks is estimated at $12 with an average yearly gain of about 4% which is lower than other Supplemental sets. On the open market, a used set will fetch in the range of between $12 and $20 depending on the condition.

1x2 Bricks is an extremely old and very rare LEGO set. We have not seen set 221-2 currently for sale online or in the hundreds of retail stores in good/new condition in over 986 days. About System i Leg Supplemental

Starting in the 1950s LEGO began individual parts sales, a practice that began with the Ferguson Tracktor in 1951. LEGO would supply dealers with wooden parts boxes and refill packs. These individual part sales would continue, at least in some markets, into the late 1950’s.

Supplemental consists of 68 sets that ran from 1955 to 1959. As of today, 214-4 Windows and Doors Retailer Pack is the most valuable Supplemental set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $854.
