LEGO 271-2 Traffic Police Set is a System i Leg Town Plan set released in 1958, containing 6 pieces. Issued in Continental Europe, the set includes HO scale (1:87) painted parts consisting of four traffic police figures in different poses, a traffic light with red and green sides, and a traffic cone island. Its HO scale format made it compatible with model train layouts and other Town Plan accessories from the period. This set is the same release as 1271-2 Traffic Police Set.

About System i Leg Town Plan

LEGO Town Plan was a theme introduced in 1958 and lasted until 1966 and was under the System i Leg (System of Play) theme. The theme was unveiled at the Nuremberg Toy Fair in February 1955. LEGO Town Plan originally consisted of the existing 700 series LEGO Mursten sets, several new HO 1:87 scale accessories, and a vinyl play mat. However, over the next several years the system was expanded with both new building sets.

Town Plan consists of 30 sets that ran from 1955 to 1959. As of today, 1306 VW Garage is the most valuable Town Plan set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $4,574.
