LEGO 4030-1 Cargo Carrier is a Boats set released in 1987, containing 323 pieces and 3 minifigures. Also known as Container Ship, it builds a floating cargo vessel with two cargo holds, watertight hull sections, and working cranes for loading and unloading cargo. The set includes a captain and two crewmen minifigures. Its red cargo containers use an early Cargo logo variation that first appeared in set 6391 Cargo Center before later logo updates appeared in other Town cargo sets.

About Boats

The Boats theme was a LEGO System theme that ran from 1982 to 1996 and consisted of 12 sets. Unlike most town sets, the sets in the Boats, also known as Floating Boats, really did float in water. Initiakky the boats were made from single piece hulls but later sets introduced multi-hulled boats. After 1996 boats became part of the LEGO City theme.

Container ship with crane and ‘two cargo holds. The hulls are watertight and designed for sailing in the bathtub as well as in the sea. Like real ships they have room for lots of cargo, working cranes etc.
