“This 2002 set from the Galidor series is allegedly the character Nick. I say allegedly because its appearance resembles that of a cheap imitation of the larger set (which isn’t much better). The toy was actually a promotional gift from McDonald's, which explains some of the... More terrible quality, but it still baffles me why Lego wanted to put their name to this cheap looking freebie.”

“The LEGO Galidor Nick Bluetooth McDonald's promo set from 2002 is often criticized for its overly specific design and lack of versatility as a LEGO product. While it features surprising articulation for a Happy Meal toy, including a rotatable head and limited limb movement, its unusual and non-standard parts make it hard to integrate into typical LEGO builds.”
 

About Galidor

The Galidor was based on the CGI science fiction TV series Galidor from Fox Kids and ABC Family and was released in 2002. Production of the show was partially funded by LEGO, which produced sets to go along with the show. The sets were based on a simplified action-figure structure vaguely similar to BIONICLE. Each Galidor set contained an action figure composed of about a dozen parts, connected by standard pins and featured a "glinching" (a power held by the denizens of the Outer Dimension that enables them to switch analogous limbs with each other) limb-switching ability that formed the core mechanic of the Galidor sets.
