Insights

Limited to a short gift-with-purchase run, The Darksaber (2026 promotional Star Wars release) trades on promotional scarcity and franchise-wide recognition across Clone Wars, Rebels and The Mandalorian, and its display-focused format without minifigures raises remake risk as the main constraint.

Set Facts

The set is available free with qualifying LEGO Star Wars purchases at LEGO.com in May 2026.
The build includes a lightsaber hilt-style model similar to previous LEGO lightsaber hilt builds.
The Darksaber in the set is linked to multiple Star Wars characters, including Pre Vizsla, Darth Maul, Sabine Wren, Bo-Katan Kryze, Moff Gideon, and Din Djarin.

The Brick Fan

“The set has 278 pieces it should be available at the beginning of May when the Star Wars Day event starts on the LEGO Shop. It features the return of the lightsaber hilt builds that LEGO has done before and the Darksaber has had many owners including Pre Vizsla, Darth Maul,... More Sabine, Wren, Bo-Katan Kryze, Moff Gideon, and Din Djarin.”

Full review at www.thebrickfan.com

Brick Fanatics

“The final model may feel disproportionately large in comparison to what we’ve seen on screen and to the previous LEGO lightsabers we have built, but it does actually appear to be in scale – the Darksaber hilt is slightly longer and can be held with both hands.”

Full review at www.brickfanatics.com

Brickset

“Created by Tarre Vizsla a millennium before the events of the Star Wars films, the Darksaber is a lightsaber like no other. This recreation of the weapon is therefore constructed very differently to others in the series, hence its considerably higher piece count. Moreover,... More its angular shape is accurate to the onscreen hilt, with rounded sides to match the live-action design.”
