Ocean Explorer Reviews
Eurobricks
“For a model of this size the functions are minimal. This set does raise the question of what makes a Technic set Technic, and I think this one is a bridge too far. My negativity aside, this is an excellent set for builders. Displayers... well it depends on if you like your... More Technic to be Technic. It does look pretty good, arguably better than the last ship.”
BrickEconomy Expert Review
“LEGO's Ocean Explorer delivers a well-detailed build that effectively captures the structure and function of a modern research vessel, complete with a working crane, submersible, and helicopter. The ship includes accurate maritime features such as twin rudders, realistic steering, and printed legal markings, though a minor sticker placement error affects the load lines. With a solid parts selection and excellent visual scale, it's a standout set for those interested in marine engineering.”

About Technic
TECHNIC is one of The LEGO Company's main lines based on creating detailed model machines and mechanical toys with specialized beams, axles, gears and connectors and primarily designed for older children and adults. The theme was first introduced as the Expert Builder series in 1977, but was officially renamed as TECHNIC in 1984. TECHNIC is still an active theme, and is one of the longest running themes in LEGO history. While most TECHNIC sets are vehicles that use pieces to mimic real vehicles, such as engine pieces, suspension, pneumatic, and transmission pieces, the TECHNIC parts have been used by various other System themes as well as LEGO Mindstorms.
