“Proper gearbox? Check. Proper suspension? Check. Proper steering? Check. Working steering wheel? Check. Some other extra-ordinary functions (like ride height adjustment)? Not really. “The 42110 Land Rover is a great build and the gear box and is a pleasure to watch. So many gears of course also have a drawback: backlash. If you want to see the engine move you will have to drive for a considerable distance before all the accumulated backlash is resolved... More and the pistons start moving. When they do it is a nice sight though.”

The epitome of engineering by the Lego group — “As is ever apparent with Lego Technic, the visual aesthetic of the model is unheard of. The pictures on the box that holds the model is incredible, yet does not constitute the grand beauty that beholds the model in person. The dark lime green is iconic with Land Rover and... More the Technic group did a magnificent job creating this fairly new color in multiple parts. The sticker detailing in the cabin and everywhere else where they are placed captured the energy of this prominent vehicle. Comparing it with the other Technic models I own, this model is something special. While building it, my father was astonished at how large and gorgeous it was in person. It is very large and dwarfs any other model that it is placed next to. Even the detail of the back tire, which has a hidden function, made the vehicle come alive even more.”

About Technic

TECHNIC is one of The LEGO Company's main lines based on creating detailed model machines and mechanical toys with specialized beams, axles, gears and connectors and primarily designed for older children and adults.
