Insights

A promotional chrome Stormtrooper minifigure, Chrome Stormtrooper (4591726) was released and retired in 2010, and its exclusive chrome finish and limited promo run have created persistent collector interest, driven scarcity, and a history of post-retirement upside alongside occasional volatility.

Set Facts

The minifigure was free with a Star Wars LEGO purchase of $11.99 or could be found in some stores for $2.99 USD.
The Chrome Stormtrooper was also available in a second TRU promotion when purchasing any LEGO Star Wars construction set during August 2010.
In Canada, the Chrome Stormtrooper was available from TRU during March 2010 with any LEGO Star Wars construction set purchase of $30 or more.
In the UK, it was available from TRU with any Star Wars LEGO purchase.
In 2009, the exact same minifigure was released with a magnet as the magnet set 4560075 Silver Stormtrooper Magnet and 852737 LEGO Star Wars 10th Anniversary Stormtrooper Magnet.
One of LEGO’s rare “chrome-plated” minifigs (alongside Chrome Darth Vader, Chrome C-3PO, etc.).

Brickipedia

“Similar to LEGO's previous Star Wars minifigure promotions in past years, as with 2007's Chrome Gold C-3PO, and 2009's Chrome Darth Vader, this Stormtrooper is a standard minifigure coated in silver chrome paint. It comes in a polyester bag, which is very similar in... More packaging to the Chrome Darth Vader, only with a Clone Wars logo and design.”

Brickset

“The minifigure is technically the only thing included other than the blaster and the packaging. The head is the same part as most minifig heads. The torso is rather detailed and is a very shiny chrome silver. The legs are the same, shiny chrome silver as the torso. The legs... More do not have any printing at all. The helmet is probably the most interesting piece of the set. It is the same chrome silver as the torso and legs. The only other LEGO piece included is the blaster.”
