BrickEconomy Expert Review
“This LEGO set, highly anticipated in the American market, introduces a notable update with a new female face pattern, a detail that has been eagerly awaited by fans. The minifigures are distinctively dressed, with the male featuring a sweatshirt and the female adorned in an orange blouse with a floral design on the torso. Collectors will appreciate the nostalgic inclusion of old-style window shutters, reminiscent of those in the Harry Potter Shrieking Shack set, but adapted for new window frames. Another point of interest is the inclusion of a... More pizza piece, a rare element from the early 2000s, now more accessible in this set as well as in the Community Workers and City Corner sets. This aspect underlines the set's appeal to both collectors for its rarity and to fans for its design evolution.”
BrickEconomy Expert Review
“It includes a variety of builds, such as two trucks, an airplane, a boat, and two buildings, designed to be straightforward to assemble. The set contains a high quantity of basic bricks, though it lacks more advanced pieces, which may limit its appeal to older or more experienced builders. A notable feature is the inclusion of a useful brick separator and a large storage bucket, enhancing its practicality. Despite the abundance of colors, the quantity of bricks in each color is limited.”

About Bricks and More

The LEGO Bricks and More theme, which was active from around 2006 to 2014, was a successor to the earlier FreeStyle and ake and Create themes. The primary goal of the Bricks and More theme was to provide sets that were centered around basic building. Rather than focusing on specialized pieces or intricate themed models, Bricks and More emphasized open-ended creativity with more generic LEGO bricks and simple building concepts.
Summary
Bricks and More LEGO Deluxe Brick Box set 5508 was released on June 3, 2010, retailing for $50, it has since been retired. New, unopened sets are valued at $263, while used sets sell around $14.
