Steve's LEGO Blog
“This set comes with every figure released for KK1 (except Weeezil) and is the first castle to feature a decent number of combatants on both sides. The fact that the set includes the exclusive Queen Leonora (if you discount the Blacksmiths shop) is also very welcome.”

Brickset
“This is the largest Knights Kingdom set, and like all castle sets, it comprises of the biggest castle of the subtheme. It appears big partially due to the fact that it sits on a raised baseplate. It is also because of this raised baseplate that a ramp/drawbridge is required... More to access the castle. Thanks to the height of the entryway, the ramp can only be so long (or short in this case) which results in a rather steep climb to the castle.”

Classic-Castle
“This castle has a gate tower with a portcullis and drawbridge, side towers, a throne room, and crossbow stations. King Leo, Queen Leonora, Princess Storm, a soldier, an archer, and a skeleton are included along with various accessories. Two Bull's soldiers attack the castle... More with their cannon.”

This castle is a fortress, it is well protected and has all kinds of weapons to ensure the King is kept safe. You can fool the enemy by moving the towers or rebuilding the castle, just in case they have a plan to steal the treasure. 8+
