This chart represents the current new/sealed value of the set Tipper Truck since November 2017. High accuracy

LEGO 622-1 Tipper Truck is a Town Classic set released in 1978, containing 45 pieces. It builds a yellow dump truck with a street sign. Designed for the first year of standardized minifigures, it uses a smaller cab with a sloped windshield and headlight bricks compared to the 1974 version. The model features a tipper bucket and fewer wheels than earlier Tipper Trucks, with the yellow bucket using a mold unique to this release and differing from the blue bucket used in other sets.

A new and sealed Tipper Truck is currently valued at around $216, with annual growth of approximately 3%, which is lower than other Classic sets. The average used price is $5 for those in good overall condition. Based on current trends, this set could be valued near $224 within the next year.

Tipper Truck is a relatively rare vintage set. We have not seen set 622-1 for sale in primary or secondary markets for over 6 months. Its market value is likely somewhat higher than our estimate. The last brand new Tipper Truck was sold on eBay.

BrickEconomy Member Review

“The 1978 Tipper Truck builds on the 1974 original with design improvements like a smaller cab to accommodate minifigures, a sturdier tipping mechanism using Technic elements, and updated wheels. While it retains classic features such as the sloped windshield and Tipper bucket, this version introduces stickers.”
