I thought it odd that in the premiere year for the LEGO Minifigure, this set is one of the few town... More sets where a figure is not absent, and the vehicle is quite off scale, as many vehicles were in those first few years of Classic Town!”

The LEGO Town Classic theme, active from 1978 to 1981, introduced foundational sets that established the urban layout concept in the LEGO world. Notable sets include 1592 Town Square Castle Scene, which combined medieval and modern elements, and 381-2 Police Headquarters, a prominent city infrastructure piece. The 379 Bus Station provided public transport centrality, while 600-2 Police Car offered essential city law enforcement.
