Steve's LEGO Blog
“The set also comes with a nice (and huge) selection of weapons (a Bow, Quiver, Musket, Cutlass, Staff, Shield and five Spears) so even a couple of these sets would be very welcome in anyone’s collection. The final crowning glory is the fact that the pirate even comes with a... More tricorn hat despite the fact that he doesn’t have a blue shirt, fantastic.”

“The crocodile cage is pretty obviously just a piece pack but I picked it up because I had purchased the King Kahuka set and Hukey was in much need of a follower/minion so I picked up the cage. It is also the smallest set you can buy that comes with a crocodile as far as I... More know. The only semi-interesting pieces here are two 1x4x3 wall sections, the 4x4 hinged roof plate and the transparent orange "fire" element.”

About Pirates Islanders

The Islanders was a subthem of Pirates released in 1994, and briefly brought back in 2001. The Islanders were loosely based on natives of the Pacific islands based on their Enchanted Island, and introduced a third faction into the theme during the Imperial Guards subthem timeline. The Islanders were considered to be neutral, but were known to have pirate and Imperial prisoners. All Islanders sets were released during 1994, but only one set, Enchanted Island, was re-released in 2001.

Islanders consists of 7 sets that ran from 1994 to 2001. As of today, 6278 Enchanted Island is the most valuable Islanders set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $1,269.
