The set builds a makeshift raft with rigging and a white sail printed with a black Jolly Roger, which is exclusive to this set, and includes a shark and a treasure chest with four gold coins. Minifigures include Captain Ironhook, Lolbroek, and another pirate.

The raft itself doesn’t feel quite as solid as it predecessor but the inclusion of a sail and rigging makes it look much better, a nice... More improvement on the old style.”

About Pirates

Pirates was a LEGO theme introduced in 1989, running until 1997 and focused on the classic idea of Caribbean pirates that were pitted against soldiers of colonial empires. As the series progressed through the years, more factions were introduced and the older ones were phased out of production. The Pirates were one of the first two original factions in the theme to be introduced.
