Insights

A regional promotional release tied to a 2022 anniversary window, 90th Anniversary Mini Castle is a small promo-scale tribute to the classic Yellow Castle with an exclusive printed element that sustains niche collector interest, and its limited format and lack of minifigures constrain broader upside.

“It’s been quite a challenge to keep up with all the anniversary sets being released by the LEGO Group as they celebrate 90 years of the eponymous brick. One extremely cute model was a USA exclusive, only available with qualifying purchases at Walmart. 6426244 90th... More Anniversary Mini Castle is a 158 piece set which comes in a plastic bag (rather than a traditional polybag) and can be claimed after spending at least $50 on LEGO.”

Brick Fanatics

“The set is a micro build of a certain yellow castle on a rocky grey outcrop with a printed element celebrating 90 years. As 2022 castles go, it’s certainly more affordable than the other set released this year, the mighty 10305 Lion Knights’ Castle.”

“If you’re a longtime collector who knows of the classic Yellow Castle (375), this is a miniature version. It also comes with a special red tile with the “90 Years of Play” LEGO anniversary logo. Starting August 10 until 24, Walmart shoppers can get the Mini Castle by buying... More $50 worth of LEGO sets there. According to LEGO, once an August 10-24 Walmart receipt is uploaded, it’ll take 24 hours to process. The Walmart Mini Castle will then be shipped to a sender’s provided physical address, except for PO boxes.”
