“The set contained a Polar Vehicle, a Polar Explorer minifigure, a Polar Bear, and a transparent orange Scorpion inside an icy rock. The vehicle also appears in the video game LEGO Racers 2 as a drivable vehicle in the Arctic world. The set's pieces are mainly flame orange,... More blue, and black.”

“This set isn't small, but due to the building, it looks like to be basic, although is also cool. Released in 2000, the set is good in design, color scheme and too in playability. The minifigure included is the same of some other arctic subtheme minifigures, but with a... More different color scheme, this have some blue. The polar bear included is good detailed.”

About Town Arctic

LEGO Arctic was a 2000 Town subtheme that was centered around arctic exploration. The sets featured several snow vehicles and a research station. Arctic's background story involved meteors that were falling to Earth in locations around the Arctic and the explorers tracked down the impact sites to collect these meteors. Arctic was later reintroduced in 2014 through the City theme but instead of the word Arctic in the logo, there is a seal with the continent of Antarctica.

Arctic was introduced in 2000 and currently consists of 8 sets. As of today, 6575 Polar Base is the most valuable Arctic set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $287.
Summary
Town Arctic Polar Scout set 6586 was released in January 2000, retailing for $5, but has since been retired. New, unopened Polar Scout sets are valued at $54, while used sets can be found for $14 in good condition.
