Brickipedia
“The Base can split up for a vehicle that looks like a grasshopper and an abdomen section. The grasshopper has four legs and some mandibles (made from smaller transparent dark-green insectoid legs). Its abdomen glows red and has a sound system which can make three different... More sounds of which two sound like a robotic insect whereas the third one sounds like an engine.”

“The set contains weight of rare details, beautiful minifigures, and the set is very beautiful!”

“Arachnoid Star Base, however, stands out as an exceptional example of how to create an innovative base of operations that will characterize an entire subtheme. Arachnoid Star Base has obvious gimmicks, but the gimmicks work. Yes, the base looks like a giant spider and yes... More there is an enormous light and sound piece that makes obnoxious noises, but that is reasonable to fit these attributes into the Insectoids’ theme overall, since, obviously, the Insectoids have structures and spacecraft that look like insects.”

About Space Insectoids
