“Even after all these years, the Expolriens Starship is still my top kit for building and displaying. The overall design is bulky and utilitarian but it is still able to give off an effective impression of speed, as well. It's big, well-detailed, and includes 4 minifigs.... More It's perhaps one of the best Lego Space kits ever made, in my opinion.”

“A very nice collection of parts that any MOCer can get use out of. As long as you need black and white. This was a tough score to give. On one hand, the set is absolutely gorgeous. But it has that one glaring flaw: it WILL fall apart if you try to swoosh it. If it didn't... More fall apart, this would easily have been the best of the Exploriens sets... Still, it is a very good set, and with a bit of reinforcement becomes a fantastic set.”

The Exploriens Space subtheme introduced in 1996. The story was based on the eponymous Exploriens, a group of civilian space explorers searching for fossils. A total of 9 sets were created and the subtheme was discontinued that same year.
