“The big draw of the set is the Captain Toad figure. The rest of the set is fun, but doesn’t offer much over other Mario expansion sets. At this point, you’re picking up the LEGO Super Mario sets for one of two reasons. Either to expand your collection of Mario characters or... More to expand your physical Mario levels. It’s great to see the LEGO Mario sets take inspiration from the wider Mario universe. Captain Toad has become a fan-favorite character despite only being introduced a few years ago.”

The Super Mario Expansion sets expands on the core set, 71360 Adventures with Mario, and provides multiple game options as players will move Mario around levels that they build, collecting coins and stomping on Goombas, Koopas, and Shy Guys as they try to reach the end-of-level flagpole.
