Brickset

“The build experience of 72042 Prince Florian & Castle Bowser was full of surprises—I hadn’t appreciated the nuances of the play features from the box art (the 9+ age rating should have been a clue!), so the extent of playability was revealed as I built it: from shooting and... More swiping to dramatically defeating the boss. Various phases of the final fight can be played out by one or multiple people, making it truly action-packed.”

BrickEconomy Expert Review

“Castle Bowser offers an imposing, detailed build that captures the dramatic final stage of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, complete with a transforming play feature for the climactic battle. The face sculpting is especially impressive, improving on earlier designs with expressive hinges and well-shaped horns. While the included Pink Yoshi feels like a missed opportunity for more variety, the exclusive characters and fiery Piranha builds round out a strong display set with standout game accuracy.”
