“This is a cheap way to grab one of the fantastic Atlantis 2011 monsters, and a diver as a bonus! If you want the set for it's pieces, it's still a nice set to get. I've found that slopes red pieces aren't very common, so it's nice to see a set with a lot of them in there.... More For a measly $10, this set packs quite an underwater punch!”

“The Seabed Strider included in the set is able to "walk" through the city of Atlantis. Twin marine propellers make the dive a lot easier given that the legs are moved backwards. Two small wings or fins can help the walker move with ease. The machine has two arms for grabbing... More special artifacts that the Atlantis salvage crew may find.”

“This set is one of only five released early in 2011 for the second year of Atlantis. This is a common event for LEGO- when the first full year doesn’t pan out, a limited issue of new toys appears the following year, attempting to draw in new customers without investing too... More much money in the line again. But regardless of that, this is still a good little set. Despite having limited poseability in the legs, it isn’t a typical ‘human-piloted robot’, but rather a pair of legs with a small set of arms.”

About Atlantis

The Atlantis was a theme introduced in 2010 whose story line is about a group of explorers that are searching the sea floor for the eponymous lost city of Atlantis from ancient myths. The theme reprises several elements from earlier underwater LEGO themes including Aquazone, Divers and Aqua Raiders. The Atlantis theme also has a more elaborate back story than its predecessors, showcased on a dedicated website. Each of the sets are equipped with a wide array of red futuristic underwater vehicles with light green viewports and weaponry.
