LEGO 8595 Takua and Pewku is a Bionicle Warriors set released in 2003, containing 221 pieces. It builds the Matoran Takua, wearing a light blue Pakari mask, and his Ussal crab Pewku. Pewku features a gear-driven leg mechanism for walking motion, poseable limbs and mandibles, and a saddle/handlebars area to seat Takua. “This set includes the new form of Takua and Pewku, the ussal crab. I think that Takua, like all the other 2003 matoran is not much playable, but have a considerable size and awesome color combination. Takua also includes the mask Pakari and a Kolhii stick. Pewku is a ussal... More crab, and different to the gukko with jaller, pewku represents very well a crab. Pewku is also not much playable, but is fun and is good builted, with an great color scheme. I rate so, Takua and Pewku 5/5.”

“The set featured non-canon wheels on the bottom of Pewku which operated a complex system of linkages, causing the legs to move when Pewku was rolled across a flat surface. Pins on the set offered a place for up to two Matoran to be seated at a time.”

The LEGO BIONICLE Warriors was a subtheme of sets that were typically larger than the standard Toa or Matoran sets, but not as intricate or vast as the Titan sets. These Warrior sets often represented significant characters or antagonists in the Bionicle storyline.
