LEGO 8683-5 Zombie is a Collectible Minifigures Series 1 character released in 2010. It represents a shambling undead figure with tattered clothing prints and a pale greenish head featuring sunken eyes. “Zombie is the standard LEGO minifigure with nothing new or extra added to his body. No headgear or anything, just a gray-skinned undead scourge that wants to devour the bricks of other figures! Wearing the tattered remains of a gray suit, the zombie looks like he used to be... More some generic white collar worker. His disheveled tie and ripped collar look great. The only thing his body is missing is a bit of blood, but I can see why LEGO would avoid that detail.”

“When I first saw this undead zombie, I knew this would be a smashing hit for "Apoc creations" The torn shirt and tie really made this zombie look awesome as he shambles towards his victims. It's amazing to see the first official zombie minifigure. I am not sure why a zombie... More needs a spade and drumstick, but to me, these are some very useful City parts.”

About Minifigure Series Series 1

Minifigures Series 1 was LEGO's first release of it's collectable minifigures which nnow numbers in the dozens. The collection, like most in the theme, contains sixteen exclusive minifigures, many of which were based on concepts never seen before their release. Each minifigure was sold individually in foil polybags and came with a selection of accessories, a display stand, and a paper checklist. The opaque foil packaging was intended to make the minifigure a mystery, however, it was quickly noticed that the barcodes on the back could identify the contents.

Series 1 was introduced in 2010 and currently consists of 19 sets. As of today, Series 1 Sealed Box is the most valuable Series 1 set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $1,276.

Slow in speed and even slower of mind, the lumbering Zombie may look a little scary, but he’s completely harmless in every way. Everything he does is slow, mindless and repetitive, from zoning out while watching TV, to waiting in line at the grocery store, to stacking one brick on top of another to build a perfectly even, completely featureless wall that stretches along for miles and miles.

If you interrupt him, he’ll just stare at you blankly before going back to whatever he was doing before. If you put an obstacle in front of him, he’ll keep bumping into it over and over again until someone turns him around. If you pick him up and move him to a new place, he’ll start doing something mindless there instead. The only thing that seems to motivate him is his cherished turkey leg – if you dangle it in front of him, he’ll stretch his arms out toward it and follow it wherever it goes.
