“The Dune Blaster from the Lego Technic series is another well-made model. It offers a lot of fun from the very beginning. Its construction is very stable, so nothing interferes with fun. Unfortunately, a differential is missing, so the pistons are only moved by one rear... More wheel. But otherwise it's a very nice model, so it gets four stars in the overall rating.”

“The buggy features rear trailing arm suspension, a suspended 2 cylinder engine, and steering. I like the compound angles generated by the beams at the side of the body. They give the illusion of a shape which does not really exist. Likewise, this is the first model to use... More the (semi) rigid pneumatic tubing as a design element. Two mildly bent tubes suggest the curved outline of a canopy and terminate in axle connectors.”

About Technic

TECHNIC is one of The LEGO Company's main lines based on creating detailed model machines and mechanical toys with specialized beams, axles, gears and connectors and primarily designed for older children and adults. The theme was first introduced as the Expert Builder series in 1977, but was officially renamed as TECHNIC in 1984. TECHNIC is still an active theme, and is one of the longest running themes in LEGO history. While most TECHNIC sets are vehicles that use pieces to mimic real vehicles, such as engine pieces, suspension, pneumatic, and transmission pieces, the TECHNIC parts have been used by various other System themes as well as LEGO Mindstorms.
