LEGO and Capespan, a South African fruit marketing company, collaborated in 2003 on a promotional series of Make and Create sets themed around fruit and healthy eating. The partnership produced seven exclusive polybag models — 7172 Banana, 7173 Pear, 7174 Apple, 7175 Grapes, 7176 Watermelon, 7177 Orange, and 7178 Chef. These small builds featured simple, colorful designs intended for younger children and were distributed through Capespan fruit packaging and retail promotions to encourage creative play linked to nutritious lifestyles. The campaign was regional, primarily targeting South African and European markets where Capespan-branded fruit was sold.
