About LEGO Town
LEGO Town was one of the LEGO Group's core themes which was based on town life and included sets such as emergency services like police and fire and civilian sets such as cars. LEGO Town incorporates many subthemes, which focus on a specific area of Town such as airport, artic, city, divers, flight, rescue, space and various others.
2002 LEGO Sets
2002 was a mixed year of success and experimentation. Star Wars dominated with Episode II: Attack of the Clones sets and collector favorites like the Imperial Star Destroyer (10030), while the Western theme’s Fort LEGOredo (6762) gained long-term appeal. New themes included Spider-Man, Island Xtreme Stunts, and expanded Racers sets, but LEGO also faced missteps with Galidor and Spybotics—both short-lived departures from traditional building. Core themes such as Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Alpha Team remained strong, making 2002 a year of both breakthroughs and lessons learned.
