LEGO 1235-2 Garage Plate and Door is a System i Leg Supplemental set released in 1955, containing 3 pieces. This early garage accessory set was sold only in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden from 1955 to 1957, and included a garage door assembly, a garage door frame, and a white 8 x 18 garage floor plate. The set is the same basic model as set 235-1 Garage Plate and Door, which was later sold in Central Europe under the 235 number. As a mid-1950s System-era release, it was designed for compatibility with early slotted LEGO bricks, using a door frame style without studs. Based on current trends, this set could be valued near $114 within the next year.
Garage Plate and Door (1235-2) is an exceptionally old and rare LEGO set. It has not been available online or in retail stores in good/new condition for over 2 years. Due to its rarity, the estimated value in sealed condition of $107.99 may understate its true worth, assuming one can even be found for sale. About System i Leg Supplemental

Starting in the 1950s LEGO began individual parts sales, a practice that began with the Ferguson Tracktor in 1951. LEGO would supply dealers with wooden parts boxes and refill packs. These individual part sales would continue, at least in some markets, into the late 1950’s.

Supplemental consists of 68 sets that ran from 1955 to 1959. As of today, 230-2 Six Trees and Bushes is the most valuable Supplemental set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $320.
