LEGO 1240-2 8 Road Signs is a System i Leg Supplemental set released in 1955, containing 8 pieces. It includes eight printed road sign elements on posts with Type 1 bases, covering symbols such as directional arrow, stop triangle, parking, no parking, level crossing, pedestrian crossing, curved road, and major road. The set was available only in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. The Swedish version used yellow signs, while Danish and Norwegian versions featured white signs. About System i Leg Supplemental

Starting in the 1950s LEGO began individual parts sales, a practice that began with the Ferguson Tracktor in 1951. LEGO would supply dealers with wooden parts boxes and refill packs. These individual part sales would continue, at least in some markets, into the late 1950’s.

Supplemental consists of 68 sets that ran from 1955 to 1959. As of today, 214-4 Windows and Doors Retailer Pack is the most valuable Supplemental set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $805.
