LEGO 138 Electronic Train was a 111 piece Trains set released in 1969. It features a black motor, a black holder for three 1.5V batteries, a white microphone block, a transparent block with a circuit board, color-coded cables, and various bricks, wheels, and couplings. It also includes a whistle for sound-activated control of the train. The set was also called Whistle Train.
Electronic Train (set 138-1) is an extremely old and rare LEGO set. It has not been seen for sale online or in retail stores in good/new condition in over 2 years. Due to its rarity, the current estimated value of $2,075.62 may be much lower than its true value, assuming it can be found for sale. As this set was released in 1969, finding it sealed and in good condition is particularly challenging, likely driving its true value even higher.

The LEGO 4.5V train theme ran from 1966 until 1971 and contained 39 sets in all. The 4.5V trains used to be the voltage standard for the first electric LEGO components where the power came from a battery box with 3x 1.5V batteries.
