LEGO 118-3 Sears Motorized Freight or Passenger Train is a Trains/4.5V set released in 1969, containing 451 pieces. It was sold exclusively through Sears, Roebuck and Co. stores in the United States and includes parts to build either a 5-car freight train or a 4-car passenger train. The set comes with a large oval of track, a switch to side rails, and a precision-geared power unit that fits either locomotive style and runs on three C-size batteries. It uses 25 track sections, totaling about 11 feet of track, and its instructions include both train variants. This version is based on set 138 Electronic Train, but unlike set 138 it operates in forward only rather than forward and reverse.

The average used price is $1,434 for those in good overall condition. Based on current trends, this set could be valued near $1,857 within the next year.
