“The Lego 118 Electric Train is more of a DIY (do it yourself) kind of train, it came with a motor, tires, wheels, plugs magnets and a speaker. This set includes 110 pieces, and of those 110 pieces, it includes a train motor, battery box, speaker, and track. It was said that... More the speakers was supposed to make train sounds as it went around the track. They replaced the hooks to connect the train ant the train cars, with magnets.”

The LEGO 4.5V train theme ran from 1966 until 1971 and contained 39 sets in all. The 4.5V trains used to be the voltage standard for the first electric LEGO components where the power came from a battery box with 3x 1.5V batteries.
