Brickset
A real classic — “This set was available to the UK (though I never saw it in the shops. It was a special offer in 1988. You had to cut the barcodes off the boxes of space sets you bought and sent them off with some money). I think it's a really nice set. It looks great and has a wealth of... More good pieces. Rare, but certainly worth tracking down.”

“Smallish spaceship with canards, dual octagonal cockpits, and twin yellow astronauts. First use of the new octagonal canopies. (Also first use of the new tile with handle) Nice selection of printed parts.”

About Space Classic

Classic Space began in 1978, the same year as the LEGO minifigure, and it was one of the first three themes to use it, along with Castle and Town. The astronauts came in red and white at first, with yellow, black and blue added in the 1980s, all in the same suit with the planet logo on the chest and an air tank on the back. Unlike almost every space line after it, Classic Space had no villains, only explorers with rovers, rockets, lunar bases and grey crater baseplates.

Classic consists of 90 sets that ran from 1978 to 2015. As of today, 926 Command Center is the most valuable Classic set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $4,799.
