“As usual with ships of this scale, the part selection consists of lots of neat specialty pieces tied together to form the model. I do appreciate the use of the small wing pieces, which are not as common in Classic Space ships as you might think.”

“This compact LEGO set is a standout from the classic space era, offering a unique building experience with some rare printed parts and a thoughtful design. The small aerial vehicle features an intriguing reverse-swept wing concept for improved agility, enhanced by the use of flexible hoses and trans-red radar dishes that resemble heaters.”

About Space Classic

Classic Space began in 1978, the same year as the LEGO minifigure, and it was one of the first three themes to use it, along with Castle and Town. The astronauts came in red and white at first, with yellow, black and blue added in the 1980s, all in the same suit with the planet logo on the chest and an air tank on the back. Unlike almost every space line after it, Classic Space had no villains, only explorers with rovers, rockets, lunar bases and grey crater baseplates.

Classic consists of 90 sets that ran from 1978 to 2015. As of today, 926 Command Center is the most valuable Classic set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $4,799.
