The set of the Burj Khalifa is over 15 inches high and is the tallest LEGO Architecture model to date. The Burj Khalifa has already been featured in the LEGO Architecture theme in 2011, set 21008. The new version is somewhat of an improvement on the other set which consisted of mostly round bricks however the old one did have the stacking round look of the real-life building. It is priced at $39.99 in the US and with 333 pieces that puts it at $0.12 per piece. As with other Architecture sets, the box and instruction booklet are gorgeously designed. The instruction booklet is nicely bound, with pages explaining the history and architecture of the building.

A new and sealed Burj Khalifa is currently valued at around $145, with annual growth of approximately 8%. The average used price is $56 for those in good overall condition. Based on current trends, this set could be valued near $163 within the next year. New and sealed listings currently range from $123 to $193. “The 2016 Burj Khalifa (21031) will be the first set to have two LEGO Architecture sets dedicated to the landmark with the first being set 21008 back in 2011. The new version is somewhat of an improvement on the other set which consisted of mostly round bricks however the old... More one did have the stacking round look of the real-life building. The LEGO Architecture landmark series has a certain appeal factor to collectors and may not be for everyone but it does give me appreciation for these kinds of sets.”

About Architecture Landmark Series

The LEGO Architecture Landmark Series started in 2008 and consists primarily of models that represent the world's most famous structures. Initially the sets were focused on major cities in the United States such as models of the Sears Tower, John Hancock Center, the Empire State Building, and the Seattle Space Needle followed by international landmarks including Burj Khalifa, Brandenburg Gate, the Sydney Opera House and dozens more. Within the subtheme the scale of the sets differ widely.

Landmark Series was introduced in 2008 and currently consists of 36 sets. As of today, 21021 Marina Bay Sands is the most valuable Landmark Series set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $981.
